Get out with other Balts, Ukrainians, Belarusians, etc. and demonstrate. Bring flags (U.S., Lithuanian, Ukrainian). Make bold posters. Paint banners. Bring a megaphone. Show up. Post on social media.

Tell them that, as an American citizen and their constituent, you are demanding strong US support Ukraine against Russia. You are of Baltic heritage and the Baltic countries are also at risk from Russia.

Sample Message to President Biden:

Thank you for uniting our allies to help Ukraine, for sending military and humanitarian aid to Ukraine, and for sanctioning Russia.  

I ask you to:

·       Continue to send military aid to Ukraine.   Send weapons that match the needs of Ukrainians for the duration of the war so that Ukraine can successfully defend itself against Russian aggression.

·      Replenish the arms and equipment that NATO allies have transferred to Ukraine from their own stockpiles.

·       Tighten the sanctions on Russia and its oligarchs to the maximum.

·       Continue to be a strong leader of our allied coalition, reminding them that this is a fight for all our democracies.

Sample Message to Senators and Representatives:

We appreciate that President Biden has united our allies in helping Ukraine against Russia’s unprovoked invasion, and we thank Congress for approving military and humanitarian aid to Ukraine.   The brave Ukrainian people are protecting Europe and the world from Putin.   They are our best defense against Russia. 
I ask you to:

·       Continue to send military aid to Ukraine.   Send weapons that match the needs of Ukrainians for the duration of the war so that Ukraine can successfully defend itself against Russian aggression.

1. President Biden, thank you for signing Lend Lease Act for Ukraine!!!

2. USA, thank you for the Ė40 billion Ukraine Bill!

3. USA, Thank you for Supporting Ukraine!

4. But this is not enough!

5. Declare Russia a state sponsor of terrorism

6. Honor the Budapest Memorandum (of 1994 whereby Ukraine gave up its nuclear weapons — to Russia(!) in exchange for a promise by Russia, the UK and the USA to protect Ukraine’s sovereignty)

7. Stop the Genocide in Ukraine!

  • Write to newspapers

  • Speak up for NATO

  • Call out disinformation

Educate yourself and then others.

  • Stay informed

  • Use trusted sources

  • Keep up the discussion
